Georgia Shakespeare is a professional theatre that operates under a LORT D contract with Actors’ Equity Association. As a LORT D theatre, we are not required to hold auditions in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles. General Auditions are held in Atlanta, GA each November. Georgia Shakespeare also attends the Unified Auditions in Atlanta each spring. Specific information regarding dates, times, requirements and when to call for these auditions will be posted on the website in the early fall.

General Audition Info

If you are a professional actor living outside the Atlanta area, you can submit a headshot and resume to the address below. If you plan to visit the Atlanta area, you can contact Brooke Collins, Company Manager, at 404-504-3403 to set up an audition.

There are two options to audition for the summer acting internship program. Georgia Shakespeare holds auditions in Atlanta in February of each year; we also attend the South Eastern Theatre Conference (SETC) Auditions each spring.

Georgia Shakespeare is looking for experienced Equity and non-Equity professional actors with very strong basic skills, facility with Shakespearean text and the ability to work cooperatively in an ensemble. Stage Combat experience is also a plus.
